To our dear Friends
It’s been some time since our last newsletter and 2009 has flown past so quickly! I would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a very happy new year and hope that 2010 brings love and harmony to you and your families.
Towards the end of 2009 some members indicated a desire to move to a new location and over the past two months we have been investigating options. I’d like to especially thank Derek and Helen for their active work in helping with this task. This year we are meeting in a new location so please note the following details:
The new location was prompted by the need to reduce the cost of hall hire and also move to a location that was still accessible for members coming from all directions in Sydney. It was essential that the new location had to be close to public transport and be used for a purpose that is in harmony with White Eagle’s teaching. The Uniting Church Hall has kitchen facilities that we can use and there is a nearby coffee shop near the station that is open on Sundays! What more could we ask for?
I am in the process of planning the schedule for 2010 and hopefully we will be able to hold a 1 day ‘retreat’ during the year and maybe have some special visitors. Each service has a theme, and the theme for February service is the chakras. Stay tuned to hear more about the activities as the year progresses.
Most people will be aware that I have moved to Brisbane. I visit Sydney regularly and expect to attend most of the services this year although I will be travelling mid year, and will be attending a Brotherhood retreat in New Lands. A number of members have offered to participate in the services and this is an opportunity for each of these dear people to take another step on their spiritual journey and this is to be encouraged.
Some of our members have challenging circumstances in their lives which they must attend to and we may not see them as often, and I have also had a number of enquiries from new people. So 2010 will see our Sydney White Group evolve and welcome new visitors, while at the same time we send our blessings to all of our current members.
