Dear Friends,
Winter brings such a feeling of going within, a withdrawing of the energies of the earth, of our personal energies and a time for contemplation. However, winter is not a slumber period, it is a time of inner renewal as we withdraw into the place of stillness and silence within our being. It is a time of finding and strengthening our inner flame at the very heart, the core of our spirit.
The coming of Spring begins the visible manifestation of the life force—the energies of the earth can be seen in the explosion of new leaf and flower and the desire within the birds to begin their nesting. This outward manifestation has its roots in the winter period—in the place of absolute stillness and silence.
As the energy of Spring manifests in form in nature, there is also a stirring and outward manifestation in our lives too. What we have learnt and gained from our inward journey is now being brought into manifestation in our daily lives. Outwardly we may feel the urge to ‘clean out’, to create, perhaps in our homes, gardens and perhaps in ourselves. This outward manifestation might be the urge to be more loving, to be healthier, wiser, to be more creative in our expression of goodness, to be more diligent in our efforts to send forth the Light. However we choose to manifest this creative energy it is a reflection of our inner being, that which we touched in our moments of stillness.
To help us manifest this inner beauty we turn to White Eagle’s words. “True beauty is created by pure thought, lovely thought, lovely imagination. Thus are you now at this very moment creating your etheric, your soul-world, the world in which you will live when you have passed away from the physical world. You are creating also the world in which you now live.”
So our first step could well be in our attitude—how we CHOOSE to think and feel, how we respond to our daily testing. The second step could be to visualise how we would like to be—to see it, feel it, taste it, smell it; to see ourselves as we would like to be. Affirmations reinforce our visualization and assists us to believe in our own inner beauty. Linking every 3 hours to the Star is invaluable as by sending forth the Light we reinforce the love and beauty of our own being. This assists us in allowing our true Highest Self to manifest thru our little daily self every moment of every day.
What a truly wonderful sight it would be to look upon the “garden” of earth’s humanity witnessing people living in this consciousness. May the rose of your heart bloom in full magnificence and may the fragrance of your heart bring a blessing to humanity.

As each person reads the names of the new members a beautiful blessing of light and brotherhood links all hearts as one light. Together as one light we work for the upliftment of the whole of Mother Earth and her inhabitants.
Early in June Jan Pinnell, a very dear Brother of the Lodge passed into the Light. It is hard to believe that such a vibrant, dedicated worker for the Light is no longer with us in a physical body. I know, without a doubt, that after a period of rest Jan will be back in full light-force, touching the hearts and souls of many. Jan was very much involved with the Brisbane group and her passion was to work with young people, to stimulate their awareness of the Light and guide their footsteps to spiritual enlightenment. Jan’s physical presence is and will be sadly missed by her spiritual family and especially by her own family.
Learn to smile in the sweet way of a child. A smile from the soul is spiritual relaxation. A real smile is a thing of true beauty, the artistic work of the ‘Inner Ruler Immortal’. It is well to affirm – ‘I think a kind thought for all the world. May all the world be happy and blest’. Affirm before taking up the work for the day – ‘Within me there is a perfect form – the form Divine. I am now all that I desire to be. I visualise daily my beautiful being until I breathe it into expression. I am a Divine Child, all my needs are being now and forever supplied’.

Rosalie Perrett has been a long standing member and Brother in the Lodge. She has dedicated the latter part of her life to young people taking on the challenging job of House Mistress in a private girl’s school. It was basically a 24/7 job. Rosalie made such a different to the lives of many girls who went through the school. It was through her involvement and dedication in her work that Rosalie met, fell in love and married a most wonderful man Tom Brouwer. They married here in the Temple surrounded by family and friends. Rosalie has now retired to spend quality time with Tom and many happy years ahead.
You will remember in the last newsletter we featured an article on ‘How You Can Help’ suggesting that people buy the little book ‘The Quiet Mind’ and leave it in public places. We are delighted to report that 539 Quiet Minds have been sold. This is fantastic. Well done to all those who supported this ‘outreach’ project. Let’s pray that each book touches many hearts as it travels around your area.
Another positive initiative for this year is to encourage members and friends of the Lodge to plan a private visit to the Star Retreat Centre at the White Eagle Lodge here in Maleny at a time of your choice. You may like to stay a few days or a few weeks. At this stage it would be self-catering.
Have you thought of getting your friends together and Retreating to this beautiful part of the world. The setting is ideal for a very peaceful time surrounded by nature and spiritual activities. Perfect!

Good news! To date the dome has not leaked after major repairs earlier this year. The test will come in summer with the onslaught of our wet season but we are confident the dome has finally be sealed. The next project now, after a few months is to address the internal cladding which has been badly mildewed with the continual moisture. This will happen later this year or early next year. The Angel of the Temple must be heaving a sigh of relief.
Many of you long to mediate and to make contact with pure truth and you usually start by using your mind to imagine or picture scenes of beauty which bring peace to your heart. At first you are re-creating memories of earth conditions, but as you continue you begin to contact something which is more beautiful than you have ever seen on earth. This is because your spirit is becoming attuned to divine spirit, you are seeing with the light of your spirit. All that we see in the physical world we only see because of light. When the light is withdrawn we are in darkness and we can see nothing. So it is that when we are meditating we see the beauty of that heavenly world of the spirit by the light in our own hearts. In the beginning of our meditation we begin to feel peace deep within our hearts, and although we do not know it we are beginning then to touch truth – because peace is truth. If one is at peace one finds truth.

True happiness originates from the soul and from the spirit, and in order to attain happiness the person must reach upward and aspire to heavenly conditions. Nevertheless the majority of men and women live, blind and deaf to the spiritual worlds and cut off from their higher self, their real self which lives and has its being in God.
If you could see your whole self you would be overwhelmed with astonishment. When you look at yourself in a mirror you see a physical body possessing certain characteristics, and you think that body is you. But if you could see with the vision of your soul, or through the eyes of your celestial body, you would see that you comprise not only a physical body, but a form which, seen from the spirit planes of life, appears as a star of great light and radiance. At the base of this radiant star you would see a small, dark triangle which is your physical body, your physical being, but above and around the physical body is this radiant light. You will ask, ‘does this apply to every man and woman, even those who are cruel and wicked?’ Yes, it applies, to every man and woman, for all are sons or daughters of God, and all contain within themselves the same potentialities.
Every soul born of God has the opportunity to aspire and rise to the apex of the star which surrounds him and become part of the star.
Now my brethren, in this star – which is a form living in the etheric and yet reaching to the heavenly worlds, are degrees or planes of consciousness or understanding. In this star are all the planes of life concentrated upon one central, focal point, man – man’s mind, his soul, and even his body, and within man lies the power to reach out to those realms of spiritual life and wisdom and knowledge. Immediately beyond or within the physical life is what is known as the etheric or the soul-world; this world is composed of man’s thoughts and aspirations and hopes, where his inmost thoughts and desires become manifest.
You are told that the next world is real and solid to those who inhabit it. Indeed, it is more real than your physical world, because it is more enduring, being made of a substance which is nearer the eternal then physical substance. The etheric world is the world of the soul, the world to which you will pass when you leave your physical body. It is the world from which all have come. And from this soul world, this etheric world, you may draw soul-substance, whilst in the physical body, which clothes your spirit, so you will be able to recreate your physical life, for within your own heart lies the creative power of God, the power to recreate and perfect your own life, and that of the world around you.
